About this file

This is a Payment Bond document for the City of Fort Worth, Texas, related to the 2026 Concrete Restoration Contract 3 (City Project No. 106668). The bond secures the contractor's obligation to pay all laborers, material suppliers, and other beneficiaries involved in the project. The major work consists of approximately 11,260 square yards of 9-inch concrete pavement, 9,472 square yards of 6-inch concrete pavement, 4,100 cubic yards of flex base, and 18,250 square yards of geogrid. The bond is executed in compliance with Chapter 2253 of the Texas Government Code and must be signed by authorized representatives of both the principal contractor and the corporate surety, with the bond date not prior to the contract award date.

The payment bond establishes a penal sum to guarantee payment of all monies owed to project beneficiaries as defined in the Texas Government Code. The document requires the principal and surety to execute the bond jointly and severally, binding themselves to fulfill all payment obligations related to the contract. Both the principal contractor and the corporate surety must provide their signatures, titles, addresses, and contact information, with the surety required to provide a certified extract from its bylaws demonstrating the signatory's authority. The bond documentation specifies that if all payments are made as required, the bond obligation becomes null and void; otherwise, it remains in full force and effect to protect all parties providing labor, materials, and services to the project.
