About this file

This document is a Solicitation Amendment (Amendment 0005) for a 100% Small Business Set-Aside contract to provide duress equipment for the Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC). The solicitation seeks 900 panic/duress buttons with an independent network for staff and infant security, covering approximately 260,000 square feet across multiple facilities. The system will be enterprise-wide, with the contractor responsible for cable installation, and will utilize an isolated system to add security response to the existing infant protection system.

The solicitation details include specific technical requirements such as using Cisco network infrastructure, requiring high availability configuration, and focusing on data-grade wireless design. The current solicitation maintains the original response deadline of July 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM EDT. The amendment includes responses to vendor questions about network compatibility, facility infrastructure, system requirements, and network design goals, providing clarification on the scope and technical specifications of the proposed security system.

Questions for Solicitation No. 75H71025Q00159A:

1.At that time, our proposed vendor determined that the current wireless network infrastructure at NNMC was not compatible with their system. Since this solicitation has been amended and reissued (Amendment No. 4), I wanted to inquire whether there have been any updates to the facility’s network infrastructure that would now allow a compatible system installation. There has been no changes to the Network Infrastructure that would allow compatibility.

2.Facility and Infrastructure Questions:

Is NNMC a new or existing facility?

Existing If part of a new construction project, what is the expected preplanning meeting duration (in months)?

2 months Is NNMC planning an upgrade to an existing Infant Protection or Patient Protection system? If so, who is the current vendor?

Questions for Solicitation No. 75H71025Q00159A:

1) Under statement of work, subsection government-furnished information, property and services- does the statement “an active port for the computer connection will be provided” mean that all 3 sites, as listed in place of performance, will be linked together and is it your desire to place both the Staff and Infant Protection System (Security Buttons) on your network?

Not to be connected to network, will require it own isolated system.

1a) If the answer to question 1 is yes and the desire is to put these systems on your network, please note these systems will require multiple connections to the network. Will each facility as stated in the place of performance, work with the awarded contractor with providing the necessary network ports to successfully deploy these systems?

1b) If placed on the network, would you consider creating a VLAN for the Staff Protection System and a separate VLAN for the Infant Protection System?

Only the duress system needed and will be utilized to add security response to the existing infant protection system.

2) Per the site visit on May 20, 2025, it was discussed that it was the desire of Northern Navajo Medical Center to have 100 infant transmitters for the Infant Security System, which differs from the amendment 4 scope that requests 900 staff and infant buttons.

Should we quote 900 staff buttons and 100 infant buttons, or quote 900 staff and infant buttons total?

We would only need 900 duress buttons to initiate a security response.
