About this file
This is Amendment 00003 to Solicitation 75H70126R00019, issued by the Division of Engineering Services in Seattle on May 5, 2026, with an effective date of April 1, 2026. The amendment extends the proposal due date to 3 PM Mountain Time on May 20, 2026, and provides responses to eight vendor questions regarding a concrete support structure remediation project at a healthcare facility, specifically focused on ambulance bay repairs and associated garage improvements.
Key project details include: the original 120-day period of performance from Notice to Proceed is negotiable if material lead times and installation durations require extension, with priority given to completing the ambulance bay and drive while other work can be deferred to Spring 2027 if necessary; adjacent occupied Urgent Care Department rooms will remain staffed during construction; the facility will handle locker and wall rack removal/reinstallation, security and access control system work, and lavement marking specifications; the fire suppression system in the garage contains glycol; the structural grid system references can be found in original building drawings; and the laundry room rebuild is not included in this project scope. Contractors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the extended proposal deadline through completion of form items 8 and 15, separate letter, or electronic communication referencing the solicitation and amendment numbers.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Q1. 1. Structural Grid Key Plan The framing plan references multiple grid lines (F, F.5, G, 4–6, 11–12, M, N, O), but we were unable to locate a sheet that ties these grids to the overall building footprint. Without this, it is difficult to distinguish key areas such as the loading dock versus the ambulance entrance. Could you provide a key plan or an overlay indicating grid-to-building orientation?
A1. The structural grid system used in the drawings is the original grid from the existing building. This grid system can be found in the original building drawings
Q2. We do not believe the concrete support structure remediation portion of the project can be completed within the specified period of performance of 120 days from issuance of NTP. Is the owner willing to work with us on an extension once all material lead times, installation durations, winter exclusions, etc. are known? We are aware and acknowledge that the ambulance bay is currently shut down and you want it back up and running as soon as possible.
A2. Yes, we would be willing to work with the contractors if the 120 days is not sufficient. The priority will be the ambulance bay and drive, everything else can wait to Spring 2027 if needed.
Q3. Will adjacent rooms 440, 432, 300, 937, 2102, 315, and 313 be vacated during the project along with the garage room 314? The room numbers are referenced per supplied as built plans.
A3. No, the rooms will not be vacated. The rooms in question are located within the Urgent Care Department, which will remain occupied during construction to support ongoing patient care.
Q4. Is the contractor responsible for removing and reinstalling lockers and wall racks?
A4. No, the facility staff will remove and install the lockers and wall racks.
Q5. Is the rebuilding of the existing laundry room in the garage space included in this solicitation?
A5. No, rebuilding the laundry room is not part of this project.
Q6. Is the facility responsible for the security /access control removal, reinstallation and programing?
A6. Yes, the facility will be responsible for the security /access control removal, reinstallation and programing.
Q7. Does the current fire suppression system in ambulance bay area contain glycol?
A7. Yes, the fire suppression system in the garage contains glycol.
Q8. I do not see a section for paint and it is not in the details either. Can you direct me to where I can read the spec for paint please?
A8. The pavement marking specification is attached.
The due date for proposals is hereby extended to 3 PM Mountain Time, 20 May 2026.
