Previous edition unusable

Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of the document referenced in Item 9 A or 10A, as heretofore changed, remains unchanged and in full force and effect .

1. For the asbestos inspection, will roof core sampling be required or will standard sampling practices be accepted?

Response: Core sampling.

2. Who will be responsible for repairing the roof after the asbestos sampling is completed? The prime contractor is ultimately responsible for the repair.

Response: The prime contractor is responsible for the repair.

3. How many layers of roofing are on each structure?

Response: We estimate only one layer on each.

4. Is there an available asbestos inspection report for Building 26?

Response: Report for Bldg. 26 asbestos was provided with amendment 2 in attachment 1.

5. Is NCTR aware that the asbestos inspection that was performed of Building 50 which was provided in the bid documents was not performed by a Certified Asbestos Inspector and is not considered a valid thorough inspection per ADEE Regulation 21?

Response: The contractor will be required to perform asbestos sampling.

6. Amendment 1 states that the exterior cleaning does not include the masonry restoration, caulking, sealing, etc. The water repellent is listed as an alternate on the elevation sheets along with caulking of the parapet cap. Is the masonry restoration and caulking of the control joints and windows included with the roofing price and the exterior cleaning, water repellent, and caulking of the parapet listed individually alternates? .

Response: Price for pressure washing the exterior only.

7. Can the plants at the north canopy be removed by others to allow access for a lift? (See image below)

This will be the contractor’s responsibility to remove and replace any plants disturbed during this contract. I would also state that if the contractor uses a lift to clean the east end of Bldg. 26, they must protect the pavers and grass on the east end of the building in the mall area.

75F40123R00088 Amendment 3 2 of 6

Response: Any damage (rutting, depressions, cracks) to the pavers will be the responsibility of the contractor to repair. Also, rutting of any grass around the perimeter of the building will be repaired by the contractor.

75F40123R00088 Amendment 3 3 of 6

8. Can the trees/vegetation that are touching the building be trimmed by others to allow access to the exterior wall? (See image below)

Response: Yes, the trees/vegetation will be trimmed by another contractor under a different contract.

9. Is the low wall at the ramp and entry included in the area to be cleaned? (See image below)

Response: Yes.

10. Please confirm that the sidewalk to the building is not a part of the scope of work. (See image below)

75F40123R00088 Amendment 3 4 of 6

Response: The sidewalks under the awning in front of building 26 would be included if this option is exercised

11. The current roof drains are Wade brand, but the specifications and plans call for Zurn Z100F with no substitutions (Drawing A2.04, photo 23). The Zurn will not fit on a Wade roof drain.

Response: Please submit the Wade Roof Drain that would work for this application and specification.

The designer will review to make sure it meets the specification.

12. The roof curbs for the exhaust fans have an adapter on them to make them fit already. Please confirm if you want a new roof curb for the exhaust fans or curb adapters.

Response: As long as the existing roof curb is not damaged or compromised, it can be left and adapted to the new exhaust fans with the appropriate curb adapter.

13. During the visit to the site, it was noticed that some sections of insulation on the pipes connecting the rooftop units in building 50 are in poor condition and could potentially result in leaks and infiltration issues. Should the contractor include the cost of removing and reinstalling the existing pipe insulation?

(See image below).

75F40123R00088 Amendment 3 5 of 6

Response: No.

14. Regarding Part II Recent and Relevant Past Performance Information on page 51:

Would you like us to attach the PPEQ (unfilled except for Section 1) and the Client Letter we sent out to our three customers in that section to Part II? Our three customers will be sending the filled questionnaires to you and we will not receive a filled copy. So the only document we can think to include in Part II is the Unfilled PPEQ and the Client Letter.

Response: That is correct. The offeror will complete section 1 of the PPEQ for each reference with the remaining sections unfilled and provide a copy of the client letter sent.

15. Regarding L-7 Submission of Offers paragraph 3: This section mentions a 20-page limit on the proposal packet. Will this be strictly enforced? After compiling just one section of the necessary information we’re seeing that we will be exceeding that limitation.

Response: The 20-page limit is for part 1 technical approach only. Part II Recent and Relevant Past Performance Information and Part III Price Proposal Instructions are not included in the page limit.
