About this file
This is a Construction Bid Addendum No. 1 issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) for the Island Lake & Bald Mountain Shooting Ranges – 2025 Improvements project. The addendum, dated 4/15/2025, provides key details for bidders, including a bid opening date of 4/30/2025, a project completion deadline of 9/26/2025, and instructions for submitting questions and bids. Bidders are required to direct questions to Karl Ruiter at Nowak & Fraus Engineers via email by 4/18/2025, and submit bids through SIGMA VSS by 4/30/2025 at 2:00 pm.
The addendum outlines several important requirements for the project, including new prevailing wage and reporting requirements, mandatory prime contractor registration with the State of Michigan, and specific site access and restoration provisions. Contractors must provide temporary sanitary facilities, coordinate material staging areas with the owner's representative, and include down range access and site restoration in the base bid cost. The project involves improvements to shooting ranges, with specific considerations for lead reclamation, electrical pathways, and access to electrical panels. The attached pre-bid conference attendance sheet indicates multiple stakeholders from various firms were present at the mandatory conference held at Island Lake Shooting Range.
