After review of the mechanical equipment schedule, there are varying voltage and phasing called out. The one of concern is the DOAS-1. It shows a 230/3/60. The electrical drawings show all 240/120/1/3-wire. Please confirm what equipment phasing we are to follow.
A2: Refer to basement power plan on sheet EP-101 and one-line diagram new work on sheet E-605. Power DOAS unit through a 240V 1PH - 240V 3PH, phase converter.
Q3: 3 Hat, 2 Hat or Single Hat Prime Supervision; Reference: Section 011100 & 014500. Will the project require one individual each for the Super/QC & SSHO roles or can one person fulfill all those roles? Please clarify the number and roll of individuals required for this project.
A3: One individual can fulfill the roles of Site Superintendent, Quality Control, and SSHO with prior approval from the Contracting Officer.

Q5: The project includes exterior work along Long Island Sound. Please confirm whether seasonal wildlife restrictions (migratory birds, nesting seasons, protected species) apply to exterior construction activities and whether any environmental permit conditions restrict work during specific months.
A5: An existing nest exists on the watchtower which will be removed/mitigated prior to construction commencing. No restrictions are anticipated based on the scope of work for the exterior construction activities and impact to seasonal wildlife.
Q6: The drawings require removal and replacement of rotted siding and sheathing. Please clarify whether structural framing assessment is anticipated and if unit pricing will be established for unforeseen structural deterioration beyond identified quantities.
A6: Structural framing assessment is not anticipated.
Q7: The project includes new DOAS and VRF systems. Please confirm that existing service capacity has been load-calculated to support new equipment and advise whether utility upgrades are anticipated.
A7: Concur; refer to basement power plan on sheet EP-101 and one-line diagram new work on sheet E-605. The existing distribution panel MDP has adequate capacity to support the DOAS unit. A new distribution panel labeled EDP should be installed to support the VRF systems. Panel EDP is fed by panel 2LDPB located in the Boat Maintenance Facility. Panel 2LDPB has adequate capacity to support the VRF systems. No utility upgrade is required.
Q8: The scope includes new water main installation and underground electrical work. Please confirm whether GPR or subsurface investigation has been performed and whether differing site conditions provisions will apply if undocumented utilities are encountered.
A8: The Contractor must perform their own GPR and utility locating in accordance with specification 01 11 00, para 1.6.
