About this file

This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for repair work at the United States Coast Guard Station in New York. The amendment answers questions from potential offerors, with responses including that either cold press splices in lockable boxes or terminating strips would be acceptable for electrical connections, as long as the connections are water-tight. The base scope of work requires replacing three marginal floating docks with new docks, removing and reinstalling existing shore ties on the new docks, replacing shore tie electrical lines, and replacing steel thru-rods, timer wales, and timber rubstrips. There are also three optional bid items to recoat and install sacrificial anodes on existing guide piles, and replace plastic rubstrips and gangway rollers on another floating dock. Offers are due on August 30, 2022. This is a 100% small business set-aside with a period of performance of 215 days and an estimated cost between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
