STANDARD FORM 30 (REV. 10-83)PREVIOUS EDITION UNUSABLE

Prescribed by GSA, FAR (48 CFR) 53.243

Standard Form 30 Continued Question: Please provide the location of all of the 294 zinc anodes listed in the first row of Table 1. The location provided is "Various Location on Hull". Based on the references provided, it appears that some of the zincs may be located in tanks. If tank access is required, please provide the following information:

a. List of tanks that will need to be accessed.

b. Requirements for accessing tanks (e.g. do all gaskets and hardware need to be replaced for each tank access cover?)

c. Contents of each tank (type of fluid and qty of fluid for KTR to dispose)

d. Stability concerns relative to docking condition? Can the tanks be pumped to low suction prior to docking, or will they need to be pumped to low suction in dock?

Coast Guard Response: Please refer to Rev-1 specification for changes. Table 1 has been updated to address zinc locations per drawing 750-WMSL-633-500. Drawings 750-WMSL-167-001 and 750-WMSL-501-004 have been added to address tank locations, access, and tank contents. Will work with ship to have affected tanks pumped down to low suction prior to docking.

Revision 1 of the Specification file is attached. Additionally, the comment “FORESEEABLE COST FACTORS PERTAINING TO DIFFERENT SHIPYARD LOCATIONS” remains in this solicitation.
