1. Cost Schedule, General: We assume a national average cost per unit is being requested, plus Task Management (submittals of plans, reports), overhead/Profit & Bond on each unit cost?
- Coast Guard Response: These costs should be built into the quote provided to the Government.

2. Cost Schedule, Sampling: Should the unit cost for the samples include both labor & travel? If so, how many miles should we assume that we would need to travel to reach the homeports? Or would govt per diem rates for travel be used?
- Coast Guard Response: Each Request For Quote (RFQ) will have a separate line item for a vendor to provide their quoted price for travel and per diem.
3. Cost Schedule, Sampling: If travel is included, how many hours should we assume to collect the samples? For example, the form has assumed 500 lead paint samples to be collected. Would this be for the same cutter/barge or could multiple cutters/homeports be on a given task order? Depending on how many areas we would need to look at to perform the inspection, the time to collect the samples could vary.
- Coast Guard Response: It will be up to the Quoter to estimate the time to collect the samples, and that will be part of their quote. If the time listed in the RFQ is insufficient to cover the needed work the awardee will submit a Condition Found Report (CFR) to request any additional time and if approved a modification will be issued to the Task Order.
- Any RFQ will normally be for one cutter from one homeport, not multiple cutters, or multiple homeports.
