About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation 70Z08425RCGA00002 regarding fire sprinkler system maintenance services at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.

The document clarifies that only one technician is required (not two), technicians will only be escorted during initial campus familiarization, and the CGA Fire Marshal will assist with lift equipment when needed. The total contract price should not include costs for emergency service calls or deficiency work, which will be funded separately. Subcontracting deficiency work is allowed at no additional cost to CGA. There are 21 backflow systems (not 23 as previously stated) and Chase Hall Bravo is the only building with an antifreeze system. The previous contract (70Z08424DCGA00001) was awarded to Sanford Federal for $132,825 but was terminated in October. Currently, the CGA Fire Marshal is performing inspections until a new contractor is awarded. The proposal due date has been extended to December 20, with Past Performance Questionnaires (PPQs) due at the same time.
