VENDOR QUESTIONS/ANSWERS FOR CLARIFICATION

Question 1) Work Item 1, Table 1 indicates both sidescan and 3D laser scan inspections are not included in this scope of work by reading “NO” in the “INCLUDED” column. Paragraphs 3.6.1 and follow detail sidescan and 3D laser scan inspections. Does USG intend for KTR to perform sidescan or 3D laser scan inspections as part of this Work Item?

Question 2) Work Item 23, Tables 1-3, do not seem to be populated with any priceable data. Please verify.

The Work to be performed is outlined within the work item. This is not a standard work item, but work identified by the Port Engineer to be completed during Dry Dock.

Question 3) Does USG intend to provide Shouldered Shaft, P/N 601-15-S00001-00-05_F, as GFM for Work Item 12?

IF found to be damaged or cannot be repaired.

3.3.1 Fin blade and stock assembly renewal. The Government reserves the right to furnish a new fin assembly for installation in place of the existing rudder assembly. If the Government exercises this right, the Contractor must turn over the designated components to the Coast Guard PA as an MTI items.

Question 4) Work specified in Work Item 16 is duplicated by work specified in Work Items 17 and 18. KTR recommends USG clarify or amend spec.

W.I. 17 and 18 can be taken out. Will provide REV-2 spec.
