USCGC JOHN MCCORMICK (WPC-1121) DRYDOCK REPAIRS FY23
AMENDMENT 0004
Response to Questions/Requests for Clarification:
1. Are the listed anodes (NIN: 01-647-6179 P/N: DS620 4 Each $50.00) bolted or welded? Contractor not able to find P/N in system to determine.
The sea chest zinc should be bolt-on. From what I’ve found it’s a 4” Dia slab zinc 3# with 3/8” IPS galvanized pipe core.
2. Line 14 states: "Remove the RO equipment in the GENERATOR ROOM from its foundation to gain access to all associated bilge and foundation structure beneath and inspect a described above. Include discrepancies and recommended repairs in the CIR described above. After the KO has released a Change Request, perform the authorized bilge touch-up coating repairs specified therein." Is the intention to remove the RO and stage in Generator Room or to remove from vessel, stage, and re-install at a later date?
The contractor has liberty to place the R/O components wherever is most adventitious for them to perform the necessary work within that work item.
