USCGC JOHN MCCORMICK (WPC-1121) DRYDOCK REPAIRS FY23
AMENDMENT 0001
Response to Questions/Requests for Clarification:
1. Work Item D0017 Reference Drawing 154 WPC 997-004 appears to be a modular docking cradle designed to be containerized for shipment. Will USCG be making this cradle available to Contractors to utilize for this availability?
Question 1 response: We are not sending a modular docking cradle for the project. That may be possible in the future, but will not be provided for JOHN MCCORMICK’s FY23 project.
2. Task 2 States to “Remove the RO equipment in the Generator Room from its foundation to gain access to all associated bilge and foundation structure beneath and inspect as described as above." Can the Government please clarify the quantity and nature of equipment to be removed?
Question 2 response: I believe the RO is on a skid that can be removed as one unit once the associated piping is disconnected. I can request the crew send a picture of the RO for the vendor(s). Otherwise, they’ll have to use the drawings provided to get an idea of the removal effort required to satisfy that work item.
