About this file
This is a solicitation amendment (Amendment A00003) to Solicitation No. 70Z04026QSBPL0014 issued by the Coast Guard in response to vendor clarification requests regarding a vessel maintenance project at the Detroit facility.
The amendment addresses three key areas of vendor concern. First, the Coast Guard confirmed that IPF Detroit will provide haul-out, blocking/cradles, vessel repositioning, and relaunch services as needed by the contractor, eliminating the requirement for the contractor to include these services in their bid. Second, while a shipcheck had not been scheduled at the time of the amendment, vendors interested in conducting a site visit before the quotation deadline are directed to contact the Port Engineer/Contracting Officer's Representative, Senior Chief B. Biddle, to coordinate the inspection. Third, the Coast Guard confirmed that utilities and support—including electrical power, water, and space for equipment and temporary enclosure—will be available to the contractor onsite during the period(s) of performance. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
