About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for the manufacture of wood crates to be used for supply and equipment shipments and onsite repackaging support for the U.S. Coast Guard's Surface Forces Logistics Center. The amendment provides clarification on the required crate specifications, including that ASTM-D6251 standard crates with ISPM-15 heat treated lumber are not acceptable per the Statement of Work (SOW). The SOW requires crates to be constructed to the ASTM D6880-10 standard using lumber treated with copper naphthenate solution, wood preservatives, and/or water repellents. The amendment also specifies that 2-way or 4-way entry is not required, and provides guidance on the labeling and stenciling requirements. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside with a NAICS code of 488991 and a size standard of $34.0M. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM EST on August 08, 2024.
