About this file

This document is a Government Responses to Questions for Solicitation 70RWMD25QP0000019, addressing an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) installation at the John W. Peck Federal Building. The document contains three key questions and corresponding government responses, with notable details including:

The project involves installing an intrusion detection system, with the government declining to provide a cost estimate and indicating the project start date will be determined by the Contracting Officer's Notice to Proceed. The contractor will have 90 business days to complete installation after the notice. Specific modifications to the Statement of Work (SOW) include adding a motion detector on the ground floor (bringing the total to 40 motion detectors) and allowing wireless duress buttons at the front entry PSO screening area, subject to being reinforced, commercial-grade, and approved by FPS/GSA prior to mounting.

Number Question Government Response

1 Is there a cost estimate , budget or ballpark figure for the project listed? Is there an actual start date for the project?

The Government does not intend to provide industry with a cost estimate at this time. The start date for this project will be determined upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed by the Contracting Officer. The contractor will then have 90 business days to complete the installation, including IDS testing and final inspection.

2 On the first floor of the building there is a window in that room that will require a motion detector, this is not currently in the scope. Please consider adding a motion sensor for the drawing referenced at K.1 3 Ground floor on Page 46 of the SOW.

Changing the SOW B.2.1 to include the missing motion detector for a total of 40 motion detectors on the ground floor.

3 Would wireless duress buttons be considered for this requirement? Specifically two (2) located at the front entry PSO screening area. These stations are in the middle of the floor and not attached to any walls. If wires cannot be run through the area, would wireless be considered?

They will have to be reinforced, commercial/industrial grade secured to a surface (desk/table) out of public view approved by FPS/GSA prior to mounting. SOW B.2.1 updated to reflect the changes, which allows for wireless devices where neeeded.
