Exhibit 10 – Contractor Provided Equipment and Exhibit 11 – Government Provided Equipment
Discussion:
Exhibit 10 states that contractors are to provide the following items “as required” or “as needed”
· Charger, Rapid Rate, Desktop
· Battery, Rapid Rate
· Shoulder Microphones for Motorola NMN6193C
· Vehicle Inspection Mirrors
· Radio Battery – 4150 mAh Lithium Ion Impres Batteries (NNTN6034B) Exhibit 11 states the Government will provide the following items
· 26 – Motorola Handheld Radios – Already on post and will remain
· 25 – Motorola Handheld Radio Chargers - Already on post and will remain
· 40 - Radio Batteries for Motorola (contractor will replace as batteries wear out and cease working)- Already on post and will remain
· 19 – Mics for Motorola Radio - Already on post and will remain
Question:
· Will the Government provide the age or remaining life expectancy for each of the 40 government provided batteries?
· Since Chargers are Government provided, should they be removed from the contractor provided requirement?
· Since Shoulder Mics are Government provided, should they be removed from the contractor provided equipment?
· Will the Government confirm the number of buildings/posts requiring vehicle inspection mirrors?
Answer
· The batteries are in various states of life. Vendor should expect to replace about 25% per year.
· Chargers provided will remain, however future replacements or requirements will be vendor responsibility.
· The Government mics will remain on post. If a mic breaks or if the contractor deems it necessary to provide a mic to a post that doesn’t have one, the contractor will be responsible to purchase that mic. This is on an as-required basis, however based on durability of this equipment, expect very few per year.
· Buildings have mirrors, this applies to replacement mirrors when one breaks…historically less than 10 per year.
