RFI # 70RDND19I00000005 – Questions and Answers

(1) Most of this RFI focuses on A/E capability; however, there is also mention of maintenance and sustainability. Is it the expectation of CWMD that the contractor will take over maintenance and calibration responsibility from PNNL?

Answer: At this time, the focus is A/E and construction experience related to RPMs and similar systems.

(2) Also, there is mention of the need to ensure that the systems are deployed to minimize impact on the legitimate movement of people and goods while maximizing sensitivity to potential R/N threats. Will the contractor be expected to assist CWMD with field-based or simulated activities to optimize thresholds and settings?

Answer: No, RPM system design associated with optimizing thresholds and settings will not be required under this RFI.

(3) Will the contractor have access to staff or facilities in Richland, WA to assist with any transition of scope from PNNL?

Answer: Any GFI will be provided by CWMD Acquisition Division.

(4) Are there any clearance requirements that will be imposed on the technical staff who support the scope described in this RFI?

Answer: This RFI and any potential RFP only requires the NDA for FOUO/SSI.
