About this file
The City of Yuma has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ-26-122) for Professional Architectural Services on an on-call basis. Sealed SOQs will be received through the City's Procurement Portal by 11:00 am MST on December 4, 2025, with a public reading held the same day. The city will select up to five firms based on evaluation criteria, and projects assigned to any consultant will not exceed $500,000 in aggregate fees within any year, with no single award to a consultant exceeding $250,000.
The selection process will be based on a 100-point scoring system evaluating project understanding and approach (30 points), engineering firm experience (20 points), proposed project manager (20 points), proposed project staff (15 points), schedule and cost control ability (10 points), and quality control ability (5 points). Teaming with multiple prime consultants is acceptable, and a prime consultant may also act as a subconsultant for another prime. The city emphasizes that design services and construction management services must be accomplished by different firms, and firms sharing common ownership will not be accepted. No guarantee is made that any work will be assigned under this program, and all tasks will be carried out on a work order basis with specific scopes of work and fee estimates to be submitted and approved before commencing any work.
