About this file

Addendum #3 from the Rockland County Department of General Services, Purchasing Division concerns a Request for Bid (RFB-RC-2025-097) for Residential Declutter, Cleaning and Sanitization Services. The addendum addresses three key questions from potential bidders, clarifying that no site visits will be conducted, and providing details about the estimated quantities in the Excel Bid Table. The estimated quantities represent the total hours anticipated by the Department of Social Services across multiple services, including cleaning, decluttering, and sanitization, with lines 1-3 representing hourly estimates and lines 4-6 representing estimated instances of service.

The bid is based on estimated service needs, with the understanding that actual quantities may vary from the estimates. The document emphasizes that the quantities listed are not for specific homes but represent total expected hours across all service instances. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the signature page of their bid proposal, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification. The addendum is signed by Paul J. Brennan, Director of Purchasing, and dated 8/14/25.

Question #1: Will there be any Site Visits?

Answer #1: No.

Question #2: In your Excel Bid Table, Estimated Quantity section. What do those numbers mean, or represent?

Answer #2: The estimated quantity is the estimated number the Department of Social Services anticipates being required. Lines 1-3 are hourly estimates and lines 4-6 are an estimate for each instance of the description needed. Please note all quantities listed are estimates and may be greater or less than the estimated quantities.

Question #3: Will the total bid submitted be for each residence or a total of 30 hours (cleaning (30)

/decluttering (30) /sanitizing (30))?

Answer #3: The bid is based on the estimated number of services needed. These numbers are not homes but the total hours expected across all homes. Please note all quantities listed are estimates and may be greater or less than the estimated quantities.
