About this file
This is a minimum insurance requirements document issued by Broward County's Finance and Administrative Services Department for a Third-Party Custodian/Safe Keeping Services project. The document establishes comprehensive insurance coverage standards that must be maintained throughout the contract term and for three years following completion of the work for claims-made policies. Broward County must be named as an additional insured and loss payee on all applicable policies, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage and not requiring contribution from the County.
The required insurance coverage includes General Liability with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate; Auto Liability with $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage limits; Workers' Compensation at statutory limits; Employers Liability of $100,000 per accident; Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) of $3,000,000 per claim with a maximum $100,000 deductible; Cyber Liability of $5,000,000 per claim with a maximum $100,000 deductible; and Crime and Fidelity coverage of $5,000,000 per claim. The contractor must provide thirty days' written notice of cancellation and ten days' notice for non-payment cancellations. A waiver of subrogation applies in favor of Broward County, and excess liability or umbrella policies may be used to supplement minimum coverage requirements where applicable.
