About this file
This is a Criminal History Screening Practices Certification form required by Broward County, Florida for vendors seeking contracts valued at $100,000 or more. The certification document establishes compliance requirements under Section 26-125(d) of the Broward County Code of Ordinances and must be submitted with the vendor's solicitation response or within three business days of the County's request. The form applies to all positions located within the United States that will foreseeably perform work under a Broward County contract. Vendors must certify either that they have implemented or will implement upon contract award policies and procedures that prohibit inquiry into an applicant's criminal history until the applicant is selected as a finalist and interviewed for the position, or that they are exempt from the requirements due to applicable federal, state, or local law requirements or because the vendor is a governmental agency.
Failure to comply with the criminal history screening practices requirement at any time during the contract term constitutes a material breach of contract and entitles Broward County to pursue all available remedies, including contract termination and debarment or suspension proceedings under Chapter 21 of the Broward County Administrative Code. The vendor must execute the certification by providing company name, authorized signatory signature and printed name, title, and date. The form was issued on September 9, 2024, and applies to the Real-Time Captioning & Recording Services contract being solicited by Broward County for the Records, Taxes and Treasury Division and other County agencies.
