About this file

This document is a Bonds Requirements Form from the Town of Palm Beach, detailing the bond requirements for municipal contracts. The form outlines specific bonding requirements for bids of $100,000 and over, mandating a Bid Bond of at least 5% of the total bid amount. For contracts valued at $200,000 or more, contractors must provide both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond that cover the full and faithful completion of contract obligations.

The document introduces Surety2000 as the exclusive platform for electronic bond verification, requiring bidders to register on www.surety2000.com and obtain an electronic bond signed by a Florida-authorized surety company. The bonds must remain in effect for at least one year after project completion, and the contractor is responsible for recording the bonds in the Palm Beach County Public Records. The form provides a detailed step-by-step process for obtaining an electronic bid bond and includes a confirmation section for bidders to acknowledge their capability to meet these bonding requirements.
