Questions Answers

1 Will there be an organized site visit?

No. Please see Amendment A001. The B&C pages (provisions and clauses) for a different project were incorrectly added to this solicitation. The correct B&C pages are in Amendment A001 and they state that there is no organized site visit for this project.

2 Can Snap-Tite be used as the direct bury HDPE pipe culvert for this project?

If this product meets the requirements of the contract it is possible the contractor may elect to use this product. Central Federal Lands does not purchase products or materials for contract awardees.

Will you find out the water source location (Fire Hydrant) that Carson City is going to set up for this project? The City would like you to request this information so one will be assigned for this project.

The contractor is to coordinate with Carson City or private entities on supply of water for project. We do not have anything regarding water in our contract.

If the contract awardee chooses to get water from Carson City, they will be required to draw water from the fire hydrant located at the intersection of Roxbury Way and Longview Way- near 2531 Roxbury Way.

If the contract awardee chooses to get water from Carson City, the contractor will have to obtain a construction meter from Carson City Public Works. That requires filling out the attached form, agreeing to and complying with the conditions and providing a $1,000 deposit in the form of a check. They will have to come to Carson City Public Works and have their truck inspected and fill apparatus disinfected. A brand-new hose in factory wrapping is required.

All bidders are encouraged to review CCMC 12.07.100. Water truck service rates are provided in the Carson City Public Works Utility Rate Schedule.

Special Contract Requirement 156.07 (m) states Access to the King’s Canyon Waterfall trailhead may be closed Monday-Saturday. Provide access to the Waterfall trailhead on Saturdays and Sundays. Please clarify if access to the trailhead may be closed on Saturdays.

1. Special Contract Requirement 156.07(m) should state Access to the King’s Canyon Waterfall trailhead may be closed Monday-Friday. Provide access to the Waterfall trailhead on Saturdays and Sundays. Therefore, the trailhead may not be closed on Saturdays.
