• Design standards used and any design exceptions

• Other data that sufficiently show design intent and diversion construction impacts

If the temporary diversion plan includes a temporary bridge, provide bridge plan sheets including the following to the CO for review and approval at least 14 days prior to beginning work:

• Edge of bridge foundation locations with elevations

• Type of material used

• Limits of construction

• Design standards used and any design exceptions

• Loading requirements and equipment to be on the bridge

• Other data that sufficiently show design intent and diversion construction impacts

Complete construction of the temporary traffic diversion prior to use by construction traffic.

Provide a separate SWPPP for the diversion to the CO for review and approval at least 14 days prior to beginning work. When the SWPPP is accepted by the CO and signed by both the CO and Contractor, it will be the document in force on the diversion construction portion of the project.

Implement the SWPPP as required throughout the diversion construction. Modify the erosion control details in the plans, as necessary, to accommodate project site conditions and proposed construction operations and include them in the SWPPP.

Install interim erosion and sediment control devices according to Section 157. Divert the stream flow as necessary. It is the Contractor’s option on diversion materials. Design diversions whether pipe or open channel to accommodate at least a peak flow of Provide a temporary traffic diversion design per (a) or (b) of this subsection that can accommodate at minimum 900 cubic feet per second flow within the channel. This is approximately the seasonal discharge from January through August.

(a) Pipe culverts: a minimum of two, six-foot metal culverts shall be installed. Provide outlet protection with a minimum of Class 4 riprap or equivalent with a length of 30 feet, width of 14 feet, and thickness of 2 feet. Provide survey and staking for culverts per 152.05(g) to CO for approval.
