2. Could you please provide us with the floor plan?
FAA ANSWER: Please see complete SOW, specifically Drawing -001 titled “Floor Plan”
3. Please advise if below areas should be included?
1st floor hall, Mechanical Hall, 13th floor hall, Level 14, Tower.
FAA ANSWER: Currently the only work to be done is what is identified in the existing SOW.
4. The information provided is very limited, will the FAA provide specifications for C-1, C-2, and
RAF-1 please?
FAA ANSWER: Please see complete SOW which includes all specifications including Section 09
65 66 titled “Resilient Athletic Flooring” and
Section 09 68 13 titled “Carpet Tile”.
5. Will the FAA provide scaled drawings for accurate estimation please?
FAA ANSWER: Drawings are provided in SOW for reference. Per the SOW “All FAA provided drawings and measurements are for approximation and must be verified by contractor.”
6. Who is responsible for moving furniture in areas of work?
FAA ANSWER: Please see Specification SECTION 01
73 00 – EXECUTION, subsection 1.4 titled
“Material Ownership” and subsection 1.7 titled
“STORAGE AND HANDLING OF SALVAGED MATERIALS
INCLUDING OFFICE FURNITURE/EQUIPMENT” in the SOW provided.
7. If Contractor is responsible for moving furniture, where exactly will the furniture be stored?
FAA ANSWER: Furniture, Equipment and Flooring material will be stored in the project designated
“Swing Space” this area has been agreed to by the facility stakeholders to be located in the area identified on the Floor Plan as
Reception/Clerical Area TS-500. Further

during the Pre-construction meeting once contract is awarded.
8. Where will the laydown area be for material staging?
FAA ANSWER: Material staging will be located in the FAA approved “Swing Space” identified on the
Floor Plan as Reception/Clerical Area TS-500.
9. If furniture remains in place, all the electronic devices and content in them should be empty. Please confirm if the FAA will have the furniture/desks/cabinets empty to facilitate movement.

SECTION 01 73 00 – EXECUTION, subsection 1.4 titled “Material Ownership”. Additionally, it is the expectation under this project that, The FAA will remove and secure any fragile, important, personal, and loose items from desks and shelves but will not be required to fully empty desk drawers or cabinets. Contractor will be responsible for moving all furniture with any contents left inside.
10. Does the TRCON area which gets the dissipative tiles have grounding existing? or are we installing them as new?
FAA ANSWER: Please see SOW, Specification
SECTION 09 68 13-CARPET TILE and attached drawings. Contractor must provide Grounding (for
ESD Carpet only) –connections and installation of grounds must consist of 2" x 24" 26 gauge copper straps on top of the adhesive and under the carpet, mechanically attached to the leg of the raised floor support in accordance with
FAA-STD-019F and the details on project drawings.
11. Please confirm that the grounding install will only terminate to the support panels. No separate ground wire/ conductor is needed to be installed to any other grounding devices?

SECTION 09 68 13-CARPET TILE

12 Nav com room many desks are they stopping operations while we work?
FAA ANSWER: Means and methods will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor must engage in coordination with the site POC on how to complete work within the constraints of the contract. For details regarding this subject:

01 10 00 – SUMMARY 1.6 PHASED CONSTRUCTION A. The
Work must be conducted in stages to allow for minimum disruption of facility occupants and operations. All areas to be disturbed must be restored within (5) business days unless previously agreed to with the FAA POC prior to beginning work. The Contractor will be responsible for determining the sequence of operation within these limitations. B. Before commencing Work, submit a schedule showing the sequence, temporary area closure and furniture storage, commencement and completion dates, and re-occupancy dates of FAA's personnel for each area of work.
13 The Simulator room tvs and monitors - will that need to be moved by us?
FAA ANSWER: Please see Specification SECTION
01 73 00 – EXECUTION, subsection 1.4 “Material
Ownership”; paragraph B. FAA Operational
Equipment 1. FAA personnel will be responsible for carefully dismantling and storing all FAA operational equipment including FAA computers and
Training Area equipment prior to contractor beginning scheduled work in these areas. After contractor work is complete and manufacturers installation requirements are met, FAA personnel will be responsible for restoring all equipment to prior state.
14 Availability for work hours since some offices are use during the day some not
FAA ANSWER: This question is not very clear. If it is asking about the work hours for this project, Please see SOW, Specification SECTION 01

FAA ANSWER: Please see Attachments 2 - Drawings in SOW for Room Finish Schedule and Specification
Sections for details on materials and flooring types to be used in each of the areas covered under this contract.
16 Will dumpster space be provided or will we need to schedule trash trucks at end of the day?
FAA ANSWER: No dumpster space will be provided.
All trash must be removed daily.
17 Will we need to disconnect/reconnect computers and other electrical or data?
FAA ANSWER: Please see SOW, Specification

18 Can adhesive be stored at the facility?
FAA ANSWER: New materials including carpet can be stored in Reception/Clerical Area TS-500, if there is adequate space for the storage and movement of furniture/equipment that is being temporarily stored during construction and the area meets manufacturers requirements for proper storage of materials. All materials must be properly labeled and SDS’s must be provided prior to arriving on site. Adhesives must be properly closed and sealed before storing.
19 Where is the carpet going to be stored on site?
FAA ANSWER: New materials including carpet can be stored in Reception/Clerical Area TS-500, if there is adequate space for the storage and movement of furniture/equipment that is being temporarily stored during construction and the area meets manufacturers requirements for proper storage of materials. All materials must be properly labeled and SDS’s must be provided prior to arriving on site.
20 Can tools be left inside the facility while during the project?
FAA ANSWER: The identified area for swing space or staging is in Reception/Clerical Area TS-500 which is an open area. The FAA will not be responsible for any contractor tools or other contractor items that are lost or stolen.
