About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) sheet for solicitation 6973GH-26-R-00027, relating to a MAST Site B Generator project for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Q&A addresses four key technical points: (1) No NIST-800 assessment is required, (2) generator-to-inverter configuration will involve a Fortress specialist who will guide inverter parameter setup either remotely or on-site after contractor connection, (3) the Statement of Work does not specify UL requirements for the generator, and (4) a manual transfer switch can be installed adjacent to the camlock connection box for load isolation during testing.

Q&A Sheet
6973GH-26-R-00027; MAST Site B Generator
Q1. Do you require the NIST-800 assessment?
A. No, the NIST-800 assessment is not required.
Q2. Is the configuration of the existing solar inverter model FP-ENVY-12K, related to its integration with the electric generator, the responsibility of the contractor or the FAA?
A. After the contractor connects the generator to the inverter, the configuration of the inverter will be guided by a Fortress specialist, either remotely (via phone) or on-site, depending on their availability. The inverter parameters must be configured in accordance with Fortress specifications. This coordination should be arranged in advance once the contractor has determined the approximate date for the generator-to-inverter connection.
Q3. What UL must the generator comply with?
A. The SOW does not specify the UL requirements.
Q4. Can a manual transfer switch be installed adjacent to the camlock connection box to isolate the load?
A. The manual transfer switch used to disconnect the load for testing with the CAM lock box can be installed adjacent to the CAM connection box.
