About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) sheet for Solicitation Number 6973GH-25-Q-00088, which involves guy tensioning and repair of repeater communication towers for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in multiple national forests in Florida. The Q&A covers detailed technical specifications for three repeater sites (Eddy, River Forest, and Sumatra), including grounding requirements, safety climb system modifications, equipment mounting, and cable/waveguide attachments. Key technical questions address specific installation details such as grounding systems, waveguide securing, hardware replacement, and safety system upgrades.

The Q&A reveals that the tower inspection reports are available on SAM.gov and are considered informational, with the Statement of Work being the primary governing document. Site visits were scheduled for each location in April 2025, and work is to be performed during daylight hours. The solicitation is 100% set aside for small businesses, with proposals due by April 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM Central Time. The FAA intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract to the lowest-priced, responsive, and responsible offeror, with a requirement for contractors to submit an Organizational Experience Questionnaire demonstrating similar project experience valued at $25,000 or more within the past five years.
