About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pre-solicitation for an aviation-specific document management solution. The key details are:

The FAA has a requirement for an aviation-specific document management solution that allows for the creation, editing, review, and access to policy and technical publications. This is a pre-solicitation, and the FAA is seeking statements of interest and capabilities from small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and 8(a) certified firms. The FAA is determining if there is adequate competition to set aside the contract for small businesses. The principal NAICS code is 488190 Other Support Activities for Air Transportation with a $40 million size standard. Interested vendors should submit a capability statement with details on past contracts, years in business, SBA 8(a) certification if applicable, and expected delivery timeframe. All questions and responses to the Request for Information (RFI) are due by May 17 and May 21, 2024 respectively. The FAA will not pay for any costs associated with the RFI submission.

QUESTION AND ANSWER

1) Section 3.0, Delivery Schedule, refers to Schedule B, but I am unable to locate it. Could you please clarify what Schedule B includes?

Answer: Government will provide schedule B during solicitation process. It will include all contract line items needed by the government for services/supplies.

2) Should I update the spreadsheet I previously provided, which contains the dollar value and types of contracts where we delivered similar services as those requested by the FAA? Or does the spreadsheet dated from the end of February suffice?

Answer: Please refer to the RFI for required information. It is up to the contractor to determine what information should or should be updated and submitted as part of the RFI.

3) Could you please explain why the SOW changed and what is the new information that we need to provide?

Answer: SOW changed based on organizational needs and all required information to be submitted to the government is stated in the RFI.

4) What is the anticipated timeline for a decision to be made?

Answer: At this time there is no timeline for a final decision.
