Questions and Answers received for the Solicitation 6973GH-22-Q-00194 Galveston, TX

Q: Paragraph 14.2 of the SOW states the design build contractor is to turnover a “5 yr extended warranty and maintenance provision”. Please elaborate what is being warrantied and maintained under that provision.

A: We want warranty on any cast in place concrete used for the structure with respect to cracking and spalling. Any pre-cast piers that are purchased and installed will need to have manufacturer warranty for cracking and spalling on concrete. Pier connections done by bolt will have to have warranty on connection integrity and will require a maintenance instruction when acceptance of work.
