About this file
This document contains a federal solicitation and vendor questions and responses regarding a requirement for the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA requires the design and purchase of 171 units to replace an obsolete Radio Control Equipment Centralized Maintenance System Communication Server Interface Unit. The new CSIU must provide RS-232 signaling above 8.3 VDC when simultaneously driving 8 receivers at 9600 bps half duplex mode. Questions from vendors were answered clarifying proposal volume requirements and confirming this is a customized solution rather than a commercial off the shelf item. Offerors must register with SAM and submit fixed price proposals electronically by July 23, 2021 to the contracting officer for evaluation. The FAA intends to award a single contract to the fully compliant offeror with the lowest price.
