About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for a federal construction project solicitation issued by the National Park Service (NPS).

The project involves repair work on North Park Road at Milepost 15.8 in Grand Teton National Park (Project No. WY NP GRTE 13(1)). Site access is available via US 26, with only seasonal closures on US 89 between Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The contractor must manage traffic control to limit impacts on the traveling public during peak hours, with specific requirements to be addressed through Amendment A001. Temporary steel barriers are required as a subsidiary contractor obligation under FP-24 109.05(b), with no separate pay item. Temporary traffic signals are provided as a lump sum item, and flaggers may be used to supplement signals at the contractor's option. The NPS has reserved three sites at Flagg Ranch campground for contractor accommodations, also to be clarified in Amendment A001. Traffic control supervisor requirements are specified in Section 156.08 and measured per Section 635.26, with the contractor responsible for 24-hour maintenance and operation of traffic control devices as defined in Section 109.02(e). Answers were provided between April 7, 2026, and May 1, 2026.
