About this file

This is a Vendor Questions and Answers document for Solicitation No. 69056726Q000008, a follow-on recurring services contract for Materials Testing Lab Laundry and Floor Mat Service. The incumbent contractor is UniFirst Corporation, operating under previous Order Number 69056723P000047. The contract period of performance is 1 year plus 4 optional years, with services provided on a biweekly basis. The solicitation involves contractor-owned rental items for floor mats, towels, and aprons, with the Government paying for recurring service including supply, laundering, rotation, and replacement. Estimated weekly laundry volume is approximately 6-12 aprons and 50-100 towels, though this is characterized as a fluid estimate driven by laboratory work volume. Specific floor mat types and quantities are detailed in the Statement of Work.

Pricing shall be structured as an annual lump sum based on 26 weeks of service, with invoicing permitted no more frequently than monthly in arrears. Quantities listed in Section D are fixed for the period of performance, though any changes would require contract modification and equitable adjustment. Replacement of items damaged beyond normal wear from contact with asphalt binders, grease, and laboratory chemicals is included in the firm-fixed price. Bidders may offer commercially equivalent mat sizes with documented deviations, and pricing must account for additional circulating inventory to maintain full stock during cleaning cycles. Commercial (non-federal) laundry experience is acceptable. An amendment extended the response due date to January 27, 2026. Questions were answered between January 16 and January 26, 2026, addressing technical and general procurement requirements.
