About this file
This is a Vendor Questions and Answers document for Solicitation No. 69056726Q000008, titled "Materials Testing Lab Laundry and Floor Mat Service." The solicitation is a follow-on requirement for recurring biweekly laundry and floor mat rental services at a Materials Testing Lab. The incumbent contractor is UniFirst Corporation, previously awarded under Order Number 69056723P000047. The contract period of performance is 1 year plus 4 optional years, with a corrected price schedule reflecting the 5-year total duration rather than 3 years as initially provided. Services include supply, laundering, rotation, and replacement of contractor-owned rental items (floor mats, towels, and aprons) on a biweekly basis.
Key clarifications from the Q&A include: quantities listed in Section D are fixed for the period of performance, with any changes requiring modification and equitable adjustment; pricing shall include additional circulating inventory to maintain full stock while items are being cleaned; mat sizes may deviate within reason from specifications, with commercially equivalent sizes considered compliant; replacement of items damaged beyond normal wear due to contact with asphalt binders, grease, and laboratory chemicals is included in the firm-fixed price with no adjustment mechanism; invoicing shall occur monthly in arrears as services are rendered; and annual pricing may be submitted as a lump sum based on 26 weeks. The response due date was extended to January 27, 2026, per Amendment 0001 posted on January 20, 2026.
