About this file
This Vendor Questions and Answers document is for a Cooling Tower Wet-Deck Media Replacement and Cleaning project (Solicitation No. 69056725Q000041). The document addresses 16 vendor questions covering project details such as performance requirements, site conditions, and technical specifications. Key clarifications include: the period of performance is 30-60 calendar days after order receipt, no bid bond is required, the due date is Tuesday 09/02/2025 at 2:00 pm PT, and government personnel will assist with turning off power and water.
Notable technical details include on-site water supply and drain availability, acceptance criteria based on manufacturer specifications, and performance testing to be conducted by the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC). An important update in Amendment 0001 removed the epoxy basin coating from the scope due to the existing stainless steel basin. Vendors are advised that the project requires demonstrating relevant experience for similar cooling tower replacement projects, with flexibility in documenting past work performance.

We’d like to ask that the expectation to provide details on every applicable job for the past 5 years be changed to “applicable job for the past 5 years OR the past 5 jobs AND a list of work performed over the past 5 years” as to limit the amount of administrative work that would need to be done
The requirement is to demonstrate relevant experience for at least five years out of the last seven in this discipline and should focus on experience relevant to the requirement, particularly projects of similar size and scope.
