Oregon Caves Highway (OR 46) Restoration
# General Technical Question Answer Date
1 X Can you provide me a copy of the plan holders list?
The Government does not provide this since bidders may obtain the registered vendors list (aka planholders list) from sam.gov after linking their entity to their registration. If you are signed into
SAM.gov with your registered entity and you cannot see the Interested Vendors List, you will need to be assigned the Contract
Opportunities Administrator role for your entity in SAM.gov.
See GSAFSD_kb_articles ‐ GSA Federal
Service Desk Service Portal for more information.
If you need additional assistance, you can reach the Federal Service Desk at 866‐606‐
8220.

SCR Subsection 156.07 (m) discusses the use of a pilot car for grading and surfacing work, but there is no bid item for Pilot Car. A pilot car will be needed for all grinding, paving, and Shoulder
Finishing for this road. Has the Pilot Car Bid
Item been left out inadvertently?
Subsection 156.07(m) requires a pilot car only when ordered by the CO. Please submit bids for the quantities shown in the bid schedule.

Has there been any consideration for a road closure for grinding and paving work? The roadway is extremely narrow, in some places we measured less than 18 Feet of existing pavement width. Facilitating one way traffic control for Tourist Traffic, including tour busses would be extremely unsafe for the traveling public as well as the workers with this narrow width.
The requirements for this project are in the solicitation documents. Please bid accordingly.

The bid schedule does not include a pilot car item. If the CO orders the use of a pilot care
(which is highly likely), there is no bid item for this…
Your statement is assuming the CO will order a pilot car before the project is awarded, but this will not be determined until after the project is awarded, so please submit bids according to the solicitation documents and the quantities in the bid schedule.
