About this file
This document contains technical questions and answers related to the solicitation for the WA NPS BP MORA 2019(1) Nisqually Glacier Bridge Preservation federal contract opportunity. The opportunity involves preservation work on the Nisqually Glacier Bridge, including painting steel structures within the specified limits. One question asked about additional small areas of damaged paint and rust that may exist outside the shown painting limits, which are not identified in the drawings or paid through a bid item. The contracting officer confirmed that these additional areas would need to be painted similarly and would be identified during the project. No further details were provided on payment.

WA NPS BP MORA 2019(1)
Nisqually Glacier Bridge Preservation
# General Technical Question Answer Date
1 X
Per the plans, Sheet 1 of 3 Bridge Preservation Details, Note 3 states, “ Additional small areas of damaged existing paint with peeling and /or rusting may exist outside of the shown painting limits of painting, Steel Structure. The CO will identify these areas. Paint these areas similar to the areas shown within limits of painting, Steel Structure.”
Question: These locations are not identified on the drawing nor is there a bid item listing a quantity. How do we determine the amount of locations and how do these items get paid.
The plans you are looking at are the Pre‐Ad Plans because Sheet E.1 does not have a Note 3. Please bid according to the solicitation documents at the following link.
