About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to the federal construction solicitation OR FWS BKS 2016(1), Baskett Slough Headquarters Access Design and OR FWS ANK13588(1), Ankeny Hill Nature Center Access. The solicitation is issued by the Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration to design access roads for the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Ankeny Hill Nature Center. The first question clarifies whether construction restrictions before August 16th apply only to the access road across Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge or also to road work along Route 22 near the refuge's perimeter. The second question requests an alternative preapproved hardwood plywood paneling product be specified, since the specified "Breckenridge" product by Roseburg Forest Products is no longer manufactured. Clarification on these questions will be provided in forthcoming solicitation amendments.

Baskett Slough Headquarters Access Design & Ankeny Hill Nature Center Access

# General Technical Question Answer Date

1 X

SCR Section 108.01(b) states “Do not perform work on the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge prior to August 16th.” Does this restriction apply to the Oregon Route 22 work that infringes only slightly on to the perimeter of the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge?

Or does this restriction apply only to the ACCESS road that is constructed out across the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge?

This will be addressed in a forthcoming amendment.

Regarding Bid Schedule Page A‐7, and SCR Subsection 725.20: the exterior hardwood plywood paneling called “Breckenridge” manufactured by Roseburg Forest Products is currently not being produced. Can you please provide the name of another pre‐approved plywood paneling, so we know we are bidding with a product that will not cause our bid to be found non‐responsive?

This will be addressed in a forthcoming amendment.
