About this file
This informal solicitation issued by the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol through the Nevada State Purchasing Division seeks qualified vendors to provide commercial portable scale calibration and repair services. The solicitation requests quotes for calibration, repair, inspection, and certification services for Haenni and Intercomp portable scales, with vendors required to submit responses through nevadaepro.com by the November 19, 2026 deadline. The State intends to award one contract resulting from this informal solicitation, with an expected contract term of four years. Vendors must provide company background and history demonstrating their qualifications and experience providing the described services to the public and/or private sector.
Evaluation of submitted quotes will be based on six technical factors weighted as follows: facilities and technician certifications with appropriate equipment and qualifications (25 percent); ability to meet turnaround times and maintain replacement parts availability (25 percent); at least three years of direct experience calibrating and certifying portable vehicle scales for law enforcement or regulatory agencies (20 percent); past performance and references from government or law enforcement agencies (15 percent); clear pricing structure for all services and fees (10 percent); and cost (5 percent). Mandatory minimum requirements include compliance with Nevada law regarding contract disputes and state indemnity, agreement not to boycott Israel for the contract duration, and possession of a valid Nevada state business license matching nevadaepro.com vendor registration prior to contract execution. The single point of contact is Kasen Cornmesser at k.cornmesser@dps.state.nv.us, and vendors must submit two reference questionnaires from existing clients.
