About this file

This document is a pre-solicitation notice for the Cedar DxP IRSC contract opportunity, a stewardship contract issued by the USDA Forest Service. The project objectives are to reduce hazardous fuels and perform road maintenance and reconstruction across approximately 3,308 acres impacted by the 2022 Cedar Creek fire on the Willamette National Forest. Key work requirements include cutting and removing timber within 100 feet of roads, felling hazardous trees, slash disposal, delivering logs for habitat restoration, and road reconstruction and maintenance. The estimated timber volume is 150,723 tons of sawtimber/biomass from roadside units and 2,910 tons of biomass from Waldo Lake units. The contract is anticipated to be awarded as a firm fixed-price commercial services contract using a best value source selection method. A pre-solicitation site visit is scheduled for August 9, 2024, and the solicitation is expected to be issued the week of August 12, 2024. Bid guarantees and payment/performance bonds will be required for the road construction work.
