The county is soliciting bids for three line items: Asphalt Stabilized Base (Black Base/TxDOT Type B) in an estimated quantity of 50 tons, Type C asphalt mix (TxDOT or City Spec) in an estimated quantity of 1,000 tons, and Type D asphalt mix (TxDOT or City Spec) in an estimated quantity of 5,200 tons. This is a five-month contract period with no renewal options. Bidders may submit bids on any or all items, and awards will be made per line item to the lowest bidders who meet or exceed specifications. The estimated quantities are subject to change, and materials will be ordered on an as-needed basis.

Bidders must establish and maintain a unit bid price per ton for each line item for the entire five-month contract period and should not submit bids on items for which pricing cannot be maintained throughout the contract term. Minimum start-up orders and minimum single orders are required, which specify the tonnage needed for the plant to commence daily production and the tonnage required for individual county orders, respectively. Any deviations from the bid specifications must be documented on a self-described attachment included with the bid submission.
