About this file
This is an E-Signature Agreement document from the County of Bergen, New Jersey, establishing electronic signature procedures for the Bonfire e-procurement platform. The agreement authorizes vendors to create a single vendor profile within the Bonfire system that can be utilized across all local units within Bergen County. The document requires an authorized representative of the vendor to affirm that their electronic signature is valid and legally binding for conducting business with participating local units. The signature serves as the official signature for bid submissions, requests for proposals, requests for quotations, and other offer submissions to local government entities within the county. Electronic signatures executed under this agreement are valid for a one-year term from the date of execution, after which vendors must renew their signature authorization if they wish to continue participating in county procurement activities.
The agreement is grounded in the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-Sign Act) of 2000 and New Jersey's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), both of which provide legal authority for electronic records and signatures in government transactions. Vendors must provide their authorized representative's name, title, phone number, email address, and affixed signature on the form. The document requires that vendors affirmatively consent to conducting business electronically and maintains that participating local units may request unique documents or forms outside this standardized signature arrangement. No pricing, set-asides, funding requirements, or incumbent information is included in this procedural agreement document.
