About this file
This is an Award Memo issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing and General Services regarding a contract opportunity for garbage removal services at Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. The procurement was conducted as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with the intent to award a single contract to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor. The contract term is five years, with vendors required to guarantee pricing for a minimum of one year. The memo indicates that responses were evaluated according to criteria stated in the original solicitation, and the intended awardee information is available in accompanying award documentation and on the public purchasing website.
The Award Memo emphasizes that the receipt of the award notification does not constitute a contract; rather, only an executed Purchase Order or signed contract between the awarded vendor and the Division of Purchasing and General Services creates a binding agreement. The awarded vendor is prohibited from beginning work, purchasing materials, or entering into subcontracts until both parties have executed the required documentation. Vendors are notified that any protests of the award decision must be submitted in writing to the Procurement Officer within seven days of the notice issuance, with clear identification of the solicitation and detailed explanation of the protest grounds. Contact regarding next steps will be provided via phone or email to the awarded vendor.
