| 1. Page 4, Section C.3. requires installation of (4) Quikserv PR-1515 Secure Package Receivers. Can you please identify the following additional information for these items: Glazing, Handling Direction, and Window Dimensions |
| There are 32 windows approximately 48”x72” to be re-caulked. The window units outer perimeter is to be caulked. No caulking at the window and frame interface. There is also a large storefront window unit on the second floor above the drive through awning. The outer perimeter of the storefront will require re-caulking. (See Attachment 1) |
| 2. Page 5, Section E.3 states “new caulking will be installed over the top of existing”. This is strongly discouraged – recommend changing to require old caulking be removed. |
| Will amend to “old caulk shall be removed and windows shall be re-caulked”. |
| 3. Page 5, Section E.3 identifies 37 windows for new caulking. There are many more windows than this; can you provide a diagram of the windows that will require caulking? |

| Power for network switches will not be provided. Power is available at power panel in electrical closet. Contractor shall provide new circuit for network switches. |
| 5. Will Panduit be allowed for installation in electrical rooms. |
| No. Panduit will not be allowed for installation in electrical rooms. ¾” minimum diameter EMT shall be required. |
| 6. Will wall mounted network racks be required to be installed on fire-resistant plywood or can ¾” plywood with fire-retardant paint be allowed. |
| Plywood shall be fire rated. Fire retardant paint will not be allowed. |
| 7. Will Core Drilling in Patient areas be required to be performed after hours. |
| Yes. Core drilling shall be accomplished after hours or weekends. |
| 8. Can information regarding style existing cable tray be provided. |
| The existing cable tray is a “wire basket” style. |
| 9. Will fiber patch panels be required in each electrical room and network rack. |
| Yes. A 1U Fiber Optic enclosure with fiber patch panels network rack. Wall mount enclosure with patch panels in each of the electrical rooms. |
| 10. Which style of fiber connector is required on patch panels, SC, ST, LC etc. |
| SC style fiber connectors are required for patch panels. |
| 11. Will all fiber optic strands be required to be terminated at each location or only strands used for project |
| All fiber shall be terminated to fiber patch panels. |
| 12. Can we have a drawing identifying the IDF rooms where access control panels existing and new are/will be located and which doors are associated with each panel? |
| Electrical rooms are identified in solicitation plan. The electrical closets are rooms: 1B108, 1C173, 1E100, 1F147, 1D114, 1B180A, 2E101, 2C169, 2D150, 2B150, 2A134. |
| 13. Identify IDF rooms with existing panels where the current control panel has room for expansion. |
| New panels will be required. |
Locate panels in eleven electrical rooms.
| 14. Can we have a drawing identifying the electrical closets x 11 where fiber will terminate as well as the location of the Engineering Network Rack where the fiber strand originates? |
| Electrical rooms are identified in solicitation plan. The electrical rooms are: 1B108, 1C173, 1E100, 1F147, 1D114, 1B180A, 2E101, 2C169, 2D150, 2B150, 2A134. The Engineering network rack is located in room 1B149. |
| 15. Identify which areas require new switches to support camera system |
| All eleven (11) electrical rooms require switches plus two (2) additional switches for engineering and plant. |
| 16. What is the ceiling material of the facility? (Drop ceiling, hard ceiling, etc) |
| The facility has both hard ceilings (5/8” sheetrock) and acoustic/drop ceilings depending on where you are in the facility. |
| 17. In section A.6, Factor 2 – Past Performance: Is the VA looking for a specific number of projects to be listed? Or is it as many as we can fit in the 10 page limit? |
| As many that can fit into the page limitations. |
| 18. In section A.5 General Proposal Information, item 14, Can the Site Superintendent be Dual Hatted as the site Safety officer? |
| Yes. The Site Superintendent can act as both Site Super and Site Safety Officer. |
| 19. Can the Superintendent also be the Prime Contractor’s Commissioning Manager during commissioning? |
| Yes. |
| 20. Can the Superintendent also be the site quality control manager? |
| Yes. |
| 21. Is there any reason to believe the slab has moisture in it and moisture remediation will be need? |
| There is no reason to believe the slab has moisture or moisture remediation is needed. |
| 22. Have other areas on this floor needed moisture remediation on the concrete slab? |
| No. No moisture remediation has been required on the concrete slab. |
| 23. Who is the current access control/card reader system vendor/manufacturer? |
| Siemens |
| 24. Please provide a contact for who currently does the maintenance on the current Access Control/ card reader System. |
| Siemens – Tim Hornocker – Tim’s contact info is available on the site visit sign-in roster. |
| 25. Who is the current Security/camera system vendor/manufacturer? |
| Combination of Pelco, I-Star, C-Cure and Siemens |
| 26. Please provide a contact for who currently does the maintenance on the current Security/Camera System? |

| See attachment #2 for “typical” furniture layouts. Note: These layouts may vary considerably. These rooms were made available for inspection during the site visit on August 3rd. |
| 28. Can we store the furniture somewhere in the clinic or will we have to rent storage conex boxes? |
| There is no furniture storage available in the clinic. Contractor shall provide any storage required for furniture storage. Climate Controlled storage will not be required. |
| 29. In order for all contractors to be bidding the same scope of work, can you please provide a square footage allowance of Patching/Painting that will be required? Patch and paint is a very broad scope of work. |
| No. All rooms designated to get new flooring will require patching and painting walls. This is not touch-up. The rooms will require 100% wall painting. See Attachment 3 for room dimensions. |
| 30. What scopes of work will be required to be performed after hours or on the weekends? |
| All work shall be accomplished after hours and on weekends. Some prep work and staging can be coordinated during clinic hours as long as it does not impact patient care. |
31. Please differentiate lines 9 and 13? How are they separate?
a. 9. Furnish and install PELCO VX Server with licensing
b. 13. Furnish and install New PELCO Recorder with capacity for 30 days continuous recording New Pelco VX server to be selected with recording capacity of 30 days continuous recording.
| 32. In Justification document it mentions Existing JACC camera system server was replaced in 2019 with Videoxpert with 50 licenses and Which currently has UNLIMITED camera capacity – IS a new server needed or will we use the current? Just add the additional 23 or so licenses? |
| A new server will be required with new licensing for all cameras. The existing server shall be turned over to VA for use at another site. |
| 33. Are there any cable / fiber specs or requirements? Plenum? Brand etc.. |
| Cat 6 Cable, jacketed to meet or exceed intended installation method. |
| 34. Are conduit paths in place for the parking lot cameras or will they need to be installed? |
| Yes. Conduit paths are in place for parking lot cameras. |
