About this file
This document is a government specification for Pants, Flame-Resistant Aramid, Female (Type I and Type II) issued by the USDA Forest Service. The specification covers the requirements for the design, materials, construction, quality assurance, and packaging of these pants.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice for an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) for these pants. The RFP will be issued as an unrestricted procurement with a preference for HUBZone vendors. It will be an Indefinite Delivery contract with a 4-year term. The government guarantees minimum order quantities per year for each type of pants. The RFP will require offerors to submit a Product Demonstration Model and be evaluated on past performance. Delivery is scheduled for 180 days after award, with inspection at origin and FOB destination. The solicitation is anticipated to be posted on the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) website in August 2024.
