About this file
This Scope of Services document outlines an informal Request for Proposal issued by Broward County's Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB/Visit Lauderdale) for an in-market Project Specialist to promote Greater Fort Lauderdale as a leisure travel destination among Spanish-speaking travel trade professionals. The vendor will provide specialized marketing services targeting tour operators, travel advisors, and public relations professionals in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico during a partial Fiscal Year 2026 and full Fiscal Year 2027 period (June 2026 through September 2027). The Project Specialist must be bilingual in English and Spanish and will be responsible for implementing targeted marketing initiatives, managing event registrations and logistics, securing appointments with key industry stakeholders, and conducting promotional activities across the three target countries. Primary objectives include building awareness of the Visit Lauderdale brand ("Never lose your splash"), establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Spanish-speaking travel industry, and generating measurable increases in room nights from Latin American markets.
The vendor must submit responses electronically through BPRO with a corresponding Submission Receipt by the specified closing date and time, and the County will not accept submissions through other means. The Project Specialist will be required to maintain comprehensive databases of tour operators, travel advisors, airlines, cruise lines, and media contacts; become a Lauderdale Loyalist upon contract execution; provide quarterly research reports on travel trends and outlooks; submit biannual audits of Visit Lauderdale product sales; manage all event expenses with itemized breakdowns and detailed post-event reporting; and coordinate participation in suggested activities including trainings, roadshows, and sales missions specific to each country. This is a best-value procurement, meaning award will be based on overall value rather than price alone. The vendor must provide an itemized breakdown of all proposed event expenses and any recommended additional activities as part of its proposal response.
