About this file
This is an evaluation criteria document for an informal Request for Proposal issued by Broward County on behalf of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau for a Project Specialist for Spanish Speaking Travel Trade position. The contract is an open-ended engagement requiring the vendor to provide comprehensive travel trade services targeting Spanish-speaking markets in Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico. Services include coordinating participation in industry events such as the Colombian Association for Travel Agencies and Tourism (ANATO), Visit Florida Roadshows, Brand USA events, and Visit USA trainings. The vendor must also organize bespoke sales missions in select Colombian and Argentinian cities, facilitate in-person specialist representation at various trade activities, and secure booth space and decorations as needed. Additionally, the vendor is responsible for delivering quarterly research reports on outbound travel trends from each target country to Greater Fort Lauderdale and providing updated lists of top-producing tour operators every six months.
Evaluation will be based on four primary criteria: (1) ability and qualifications of professional personnel including project manager and key staff with relevant experience; (2) project approach and methodology including specific proposals for activities, staffing, coordination, and all associated fees and travel costs in each target market; (3) past performance on similar projects within the past three years with a minimum of three references; and (4) vendor workload capacity and ability to manage the project while meeting time and budget requirements. The estimated contract budget is $99,900. Vendors must submit pricing exclusively through the BPRO electronic system by the specified deadline; failure to submit pricing electronically will render the vendor non-responsive to the solicitation.
