About this file
This is a Vendor Notice document from Marion County, Florida, regarding PaymentWorks registration requirements for vendors conducting business with the county. The document outlines Marion County's mandatory use of PaymentWorks, a secure vendor portal system, for vendor onboarding and payment management. Vendors receiving invitations to register through PaymentWorks should recognize these as legitimate requests from Marion County. The registration process allows vendors to securely provide and manage business and banking information, reduce errors and duplicate records, and update information as needed. During registration, vendors may select their preferred payment method, choosing between ACH direct deposit (faster and more secure) or traditional check payments. Existing vendors who have previously conducted business with Marion County are not required to register to continue operations; however, any updates to company information including address, email, and banking details must be completed through the PaymentWorks system to avoid potential payment delays.
Failure to complete PaymentWorks registration or submit required updates may result in payment delays for Marion County contracts. The county strongly encourages all vendors, particularly those awarded contracts such as the Solid Waste Heavy Duty Waste Containers contract (26B-119), to complete registration promptly to facilitate timely payment processing. Vendors requiring assistance with PaymentWorks registration can contact PaymentWorks Support through their online portal at https://help.paymentworks.com/contactsupport or reach Marion County Procurement directly at Procurement@MarionFL.org.
