About this file
This document is a Resident Veteran's Preference Certification (Affidavit) for procurement in New Mexico, specifically related to the State Purchasing Division of the General Services Department. The form is designed for businesses seeking a 10% preference discount by qualifying as a New Mexico Resident Veteran's Business, with specific eligibility requirements based on prior year revenue of $3M or less.
The certification includes critical provisions that limit a resident veteran business to benefiting from the preference for no more than ten consecutive years, and prohibits an owner from leveraging the preference for more than one business concurrently. Businesses must agree to submit annual reports to the State Purchasing Division declaring the awarded contract amount, whether from a public body purchase or public works contract. False or misleading information on this form can result in potential criminal charges, contract denial, or procurement award cancellation.
