About this file

This is a Certificate of Insurance Guidance document applicable to Klein ISD's solicitation for Athletics and Activity Pictures. The guidance instructs respondents to submit a Certificate of Insurance (COI) if their organization maintains one, or alternatively, to submit a written statement confirming that no COI is currently maintained with an acknowledgment that one will be provided upon contract award if required by the District. The District provides an example statement for vendors in professional development services or similar fields where insurance may not be standard practice, indicating flexibility in the insurance requirement at the time of proposal submission.

The document reflects Klein ISD's approach to insurance documentation as a condition precedent to contract execution rather than a prerequisite for proposal submission. Organizations without existing insurance coverage are permitted to proceed with their proposals by providing a commitment to obtain appropriate coverage if mandated by the District following award. This guidance suggests that insurance requirements will be finalized during contract negotiation and execution phases, allowing qualified vendors without current coverage to participate in the competitive solicitation process.

Text version

Please upload your Certificate of Insurance (COI) if applicable. If you do not have one, please upload a document stating that you do not currently maintain a COI and will provide one upon contract award if required by the District.

If your organization does not have a Certificate of Insurance (COI), you may provide a statement indicating that you do not currently maintain insurance coverage and will obtain and provide a COI upon contract award, if required by the District. A statement similar to the one below will suffice.

As a provider of professional development services, we do not currently maintain insurance coverage, as it is not standard for our scope of work. We are willing to review the District’s insurance requirements and will work with KISD to obtain appropriate coverage upon contract award, if required.
